Peoria NOW invites you to Lakeview Museum, 1125 W. Lake Ave., Peoria, for a guided tour of the exhibit "Skirting Convention: Illinois Women Artists, 1840-1940" on Thursday, Dec.1.  A casual dinner will be available from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the museum Conference Room.  The tour will be from 6:30-7:00 p.m.  From 7:00-8:00 p.m. you can continue listening to the exhibit's audio recordings about specific artists and topics, or visit with other NOW members and friends in the Conference Room.  Cost of the gallery admission is $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for seniors (60+),  $4.00 for ages 3-17.   There is a 10% discount for groups of 15 or more. In addition to the paintings, the exhibit tells about the lives of women artists here in IL, what it took for them to create and market their art.  Interesting, inspiring!
