NOW’s Mission Plan as outlined by President Terry O’Neill:

• Health Care Reform: Need a single payer system.  Women bear the brunt of under/non-insured difficulties.  Pregnancy is considered a “pre-existing” condition to insurers.  Women make up most of the part-time workforce and are without health care.
• ERA:  Addressing both the Startover and Three-State strategies.
• Equal Marriage Campaign
• Stop Violence on Abortion Providers:  Freedom of Access law isn’t enough.  Need an anti-terrorism law.  Obama Administration needs to start thinking creatively about laws.
